Analyze Tools
Draw guide lines, measure angles, and overlay grids directly on your footage to perform detailed visual analysis of archery form and technique.
Overview
The Analyze Tools panel provides visual overlay instruments that are drawn directly on the camera viewports. These overlays are non-destructive — they appear on-screen during playback but do not modify the underlying recorded footage.
Analyze tools are especially useful for:
- Checking body alignment and anchor point consistency
- Measuring bow arm angle and draw length
- Tracking arrow position and spine deflection
- Comparing form between different shots using persistent reference lines
Available Tools
Guide Lines
Draw horizontal and vertical reference lines on the viewport. These are useful for checking alignment — for example, placing a horizontal guide at shoulder height to verify consistent anchor position across shots.
- Click and drag to place a guide line
- Lines persist across playback cycles until manually removed
- Customize line color and thickness
Angle Measurement
Place a three-point angle overlay to measure the angle at any joint or reference point. Common uses include:
- Bow arm angle — Measuring the elbow angle at full draw
- String angle — The angle of the string relative to vertical at release
- Tiller reference — Limb tip angles relative to the riser
Grid Overlay
Superimpose a configurable grid on the viewport. This helps identify body symmetry and detect subtle shifts in positioning between shots.
- Adjustable grid spacing and opacity
- Optional center crosshair for quick reference
Using Analyze Tools
-
Expand the Analyze Tools Panel
Click on "Analyze Tools" in the right sidebar to expand the panel.
-
Select a Tool
Choose the desired tool: Guide Line, Angle, or Grid. The selected tool becomes active on the viewport.
-
Draw on the Viewport
Click and drag on the camera viewport to place the overlay. For angles, click three points (start, vertex, end).
-
Adjust or Remove
Drag the overlay's control points to adjust. Right-click to remove a specific overlay, or use "Clear All" in the panel to reset.
Guide lines and grids remain visible when the system cycles back to recording mode. This makes it easy to place a reference once and compare across multiple shots without re-drawing.
